Starling, an applied behavioral science technology startup, was one of five companies featured by the Corporate Executive Board (CEB) Ventures group at the CEB’s ReimagineHR Conference in Miami on September 7-9. ReimagineHR is a multi-day event that brings together hundreds of global heads of HR and their leadership teams, creating a unique opportunity for CEB members to engage in discussions with peers on critical topics, to consider the changing role of HR and to explore the innovation required to effectively plan, recruit, assess, develop, engage, and perform in a world of constant change.
Former CIA covert officer, Valerie Plame, was featured as a Keynote Speaker at the event. She offered her views on the importance of trust for organizational effectiveness, as such developed through her undercover career. An advisor to Starling, Plame remarked, “Research shows that women-led businesses outperform others, and that this is at least in part because they are more inclined than most men to attend to engender trust among their peers. As the business value of trust is increasingly recognized, new technology tools like Starling’s have emerged to gauge the ever evolving trust dynamics within organizations and to forecast performance outcomes.”
Commenting on Starling’s participation in the CEB event, founder and CEO Stephen Scott said, “We were thrilled to have the opportunity to share with industry leaders the exciting new tools we are building at Starling, which are revolutionizing the means by which business leaders approach efforts to drive performance, to shape corporate culture, and to mitigate behavior-related risks.”
